GROSS, Daniel R.

Os artigos que se referem mais diretamente a populações indígenas brasileiras são os seguintes: Betty J. Meggers e Clifford Evans, An interpretation of the cultures of Marajo Island (BCEB 2395); Donald Lathrap, The "hunting" economies of the Tropical Forest zone of South America: an attempt at historical perspective (BCEB 3704); Robert L. Carneiro, Slash-and-burn cultivation among the Kuikuru and its implications for cultural development in the Amazon Basin (BCEB 1997); Napoleon A. Chagnon, The culture-ecology of shifting (pioneering) cultivation among the Yanomamö Indians (BCEB 3171); Charles Wagley, Cultural influences on population: a comparison of two Tupi tribes (BCEB 1737); James V. Neel, Lessons from a "primitive" people (BCEB 3955); Kalervo Oberg, Types of social structure among the lowland tribes of South and Central America (BCEB 2466); Robert F. Murphy, Social structure and sex antagonism (BCEB 3927); Janet Siskind, Tropical Forest hunters and the economy of sex (BCEB 4423); Thomas Gregor, Privacy and extra-marital affairs in a Tropical Forest community (BCEB 3475); Claude Lévi-Strauss, Social structures of Central and Eastern Brazil (BCEB 864); Roberto da Matta, A reconsideration of Apinayé social morphology (BCEB 3786); Gertrude E. Dole, Shamanism and political control among the Kuikuru (BCEB 2093); Arthur P. Sorensen, South American Indian linguistics at the turn of the seventies (BCEB 4430); Christopher J.
